there are 47 main computers in the world
the net is not a noun! the internet is loads on ocmputers joined up, the limit of internet ie 1.5mb is just how much your isp is limiting your cables to conect the the backbone of the wold wide web! so the internet is a big network

The internet is just alot of computers/servers joined together, it can't be owned by 1 person or company. A company can provide internet service, but no one can own the interent.

kinda lost on what you said but no one person owns the internet like he said and the internet was mainly created by the usa milatary or all the governments so it is easier to communicate with each other and stuff it only was made public around the 80's early 90's

from what i can rmeber it was craeted by sum guys in a collge somwehhere, who just linked 2 pcs and sent data between them, then the big net today uses alot of line slayded down in the 2nd world war etc, wich were for commuiction of the nucler bumnklers,tahogh not to do with the net.

anyway no one can own the whole net. and 1.5 mbps isnt limted by u isp, u can also by fater, anyway if to much data get trasefred the pcs holding the data cant keep up so they also ahve max data per seconds sent also

Yeah, I agree with the two computers linked story. No one can own the internet, it's a world wide network of ISPs.

roughly 10billion people in the world 3billion have computers and 1.5billion have the net so i really doubt any 1 company or person could hold that, i agree no 1 person could own the net

The first internet was actually a LAN connection, and was actually 1 person saying "Why do we use tapes to move files?" (Once u used tapes as HD's) and he made a LAN, and suddenly there was 3 computers and then 4 and then 1.5 billion !
