I get this stupid message saying "you have preformed an illegal operation" ***!?

its stupid because every so now and again it get a message saying,
"you have preformed an illegal operation and must be shut down"
and im like *** i dint do owt illegal! :eusa_snoo

and then you click on close and all the windows to do with the internet get shut down it ****s really bad....

You will understand more when i show the screenie.
i asked all of me m8s if it happens to them and it doesnt, why does it do it and how do i stop it? :s :s

ok, it has nothing to do with "illegal" in the law sense, it means something happened that forced a program or operation to close to prevent damage.

Windows is an O/s (opriting syetm) he mean sue a diffent one, as microsfot is known for shody programs that have those sorts of problems, illgal opritio nmeans teh pc has doen somthing thet it canot do phsicly so it cant, windows jsut is a bit dodgy so often wil randomly have the error for no known reson, ofetn if u make it do to much work. Athogh its stil my fav O/s mainly due to it being easy and me being lazy.

Try updating your windows, Many of my friend's errors were fixed when they upgraded to XP and ME, probably because Bill gates came up with a brand spanking new error medicine :)

Xp cost money, ist about a £100 or so. :/ . its fixed alot of old errors, but clascly being microsoft its just replced them with some new errrors and galchjes insted.

Plus xp sp2 is an impovment, the built in firewall now does somthing, it has a basic syest, to blok acative x. looks alot like the one in firefox. plus the securty cneter. and biggets diffnec of all, the laoding bar is a diffent coulr lol

Programs>
Accesories>
System tools>
Disk defragmenter>
Now leave your computer
Well, aafter you tell it to start. It sorts everythng into its rightfull place.

no of course not, it re-arranges files on the partition so that you have more available space, so it will squash these lines on the right into the gaps on the left so you have more white (space) :)

is it cheaper?It is free. There may be a minimal cost if you buy from an online store. I find it's always more neat and organized if you do.

I won't go into great detail about Linux, it's far too vast. But putting it in layman's terms, Linux vs. Windows is a no contest. Linux wins all the time.
