There's the template.

As you can see; it's fully coded in xhtml/css valid and is easily editable to your liking.

PM me with offers in Habbo or PayPal - thankyou.

No offence but that's like... Ugly and so unproportioned.

F32
10-02-2007, 10:02 PM
xhtml/css expandables yup ;)

@ Quapla - I didn't ask for opinions on the layout ;)

& How is it "unproportioned"?

lew!
10-02-2007, 10:03 PM

My point is the boxes should be reproportioned and repositioned, the corners need to be made transparent and it's just like a typical Habbo Layout. Habbo fansites wont get popular nowadays with layouts that look rather premade, you need something original and funky. Here's an example: habbodreams.org

That is because you are viewing on ie6 which does not support transparency ;)

& there is a rule in web designing that us developers should always keep in mind.

it's called 'the 3 second rule' - if the site doesn't load up within 3 seconds then it's not good.

That site took around 30.

lew!
10-02-2007, 10:08 PM
I belive this isnt the Website advertising section.
habbodreams has too much going on..

Yes its a brilliant layout, how much did they pay for that? a lot i should imagine

Rolah
10-02-2007, 10:10 PM
RaveFM, they didn't pay anything their owner is a website designer himself, and Adam I am a web developer myself so please don't try to dictate to me and I strongly suggest you contract with a new ISP if the Website took 30 seconds to load for you.

F32
10-02-2007, 10:12 PM
Click on the site, time it.

I was talking about the whole site, the images and all.

It's too image based - it's a nice layout, just not... habbo-y?

Why am I 'dictating' myself to you? If you are a web developer then you would know.

It isn't my best work; not by far but it's to a standard that some sites want to reach.

lew!
10-02-2007, 10:13 PM
It took about 20 seconds to load for me too.
And nearly ALL websites load within 3 or 4 seconds.

Rolah, what sites did you design?

Btw adam, i take that offer as a no, i add another hc?

F32
10-02-2007, 10:16 PM
HC's are worth around 35-40p each in my world :)

I was expecting a higher offer ;)

lew!
10-02-2007, 10:17 PM
How high?

Rolah

I have decided a few layouts that are in my portfolio and I'm currently working on two, one for the Habbowomen relaunch and one for the new version of BobbleFM as I have been made the general manager earlier this afternoon. I used to be a member of Habbodesigns with Scott who are extremely picky on who they choose to work with as you can imagine.

Adam, you say it's not Habbo-y? I really can't see how you can say that, all of the images on it are Habboish and you have just contradicted yourself and humiliated yourself as a Website Developer. It is more Habboish than your layout could ever dream to be.

F32
10-02-2007, 10:17 PM
How Hi is a chinaman... but anyway.

You replied quick :)

Well, i'll PM you.

How have I 'humiliated' myself as a web developer? You talk nonsense

That sentence makes no sense what so ever.

Rolah
10-02-2007, 10:21 PM
It makes no sense? I think you need to return to preschool if you honestly think it makes no sense, and by saying that you've just humiliated yourself even more, please don't dig your hole any deeper. (Apart from the typo of Decided, I meant to write Designed)

lew!
10-02-2007, 10:24 PM
How does he humiliate hiself, That Habbodreams or we just looks like a teen website with random pixel pictures on..

Rolah, Send us some LINKS of things you have designed

F32
10-02-2007, 10:28 PM
Decided & Designed are two seperate words that have two seperate meanings thus the sentence does not make sense.

You still havn't answered my initial question of why it's unproportioned and why have I contradicted myself?

Rolah
10-02-2007, 10:30 PM
RaveFM.. Sorry but thats generally what habbo fansites are ;) Approachable by teenagers with the impact of Habbo Pixelated Images on it. I don't have any online prototypes at the moment but I will post one as soon as Ive completed the current layout Im working on. And Adam...

Your layout is completely unproportioned because the top bars are just completely to the side and you've left a huge un-neccessary blank space in its replacement. And you contradicted yourself by critisizing Habbodreams.org when their layout is much better than yours. Ive explained both of these things in previous posts.

So if you dislike something and then post your thoughts about it - you've automatically contradicted yourself? I think you should look up the meaning of the word contradictive and research on it...

The blank space was for a little banner - that is why the boxes are to the left to make space for a little banner.

Your opinion is of that HabboDreams' template is much better than mine - that does not initiate a fact just because you said it's better and still doesn't contradict me.

Rolah
10-02-2007, 10:36 PM
Adam, you contradicted yourself by critisizing a layout much better and much more proffessionalised than your own, and anyone would say Habbodreams.org is much better than yours because they are the facts that you need to realise and live up to.

If you can critisize someone elses website that generally is alot better than yours then why can't you make yours better with the constructive critisizm you have posted on this thread. Period,

lew!

Rolah, Thats your opinion. Tbh i like adams better

You know, there's a famous quote that I could use here... but I cannot think of it.

Different people have different opinions Rolah.

That does not mean I contradicted myself at all.

Rolah
10-02-2007, 10:42 PM
Adam you're repeating yourself over and over again with things that I have already explained in depth to you. I suggest you return to page 1 and begin to read back on both my own and your previous posts.

Sorry, but I have to agree with Rolah on this one. HabboDreams is an amazing site, and frankly, your site design is kind of too simple. It needs some built in graphics, and it doesn't look like anything original. HabboDreams, on the other hand, always has original designs and their site is one of the best managed ever - they're just an all round fully dedicated site.

Adam, do your research and take a good look at HabboDreams before you argue that yours is better. I could make one like yours in 5 minutes, whereas HabboDreams actually took originality, creativity and time to make.

F32
10-02-2007, 10:50 PM
Woah woah.

Slow down - NOT ONCE did I say that my site is better than HabboDreams - not once...

I was criticising it, yes - but I am entitled to an opinion.

I think, you need to get your facts right before throwing accusations.

Habbodreams is too crowded, the simplicity of his layout makes it a more effective and spacious layout.

True, but the majority of people use IE so you have to cater for it especially IE 6 as IE 7 is ****. Although imo Opera pwns Firefox.
