Need help with Linux?
You'll find alot of thriving communities with Linux experts: http://www.linuxforums.org is a very large and welcoming forum where you can even post the dumbest of questions, and not get shouted at over the internet. Someone will almost always be able to answer your questions.

The Linux Install:
The Linux installers are nothing like when installing windows at all. It is all graphical based, unless you choose a couple os distros which use text base or choose text base install.

Well, Can I run windows programs on Linux?
Well, alot of the time you can using a program called WINE! Basically, if you install this program all you would have to do is double click an exe as if you would in windows, and it will automatically bring up the installer/program in WINE.

If you want some screenshots of Linux there are usually alot on the Distros Website.

If you need anymore help, post in this forum, check out linuxforums.org or use a shiny thing like GOOGLE (http://www.google.com)!!

Want to add more to this? Ask a mod or post!!

depends on what you want it for, to start try ubuntu, as its newbie friendly, then move towards opensuse, as it can shift you from newbie to advanced if you learn to work through it complety
