Windows provides a large range of Free web browsers. Internet Explorer is largely a good web browser but with numerous security concerns and very common browser display and compatibility issues Internet Explorer can't quite cut along side what is though of more widely as the best browser available on the market today, Mozzilla Firefox. Firefox V2 provides all the features IE provides and adds to them by correcting most of the main risks IE proses, Firefox is all round the best browser in totally. Despite Firefox and Internet Explorer there are other candidates in the ongoing race to become the best free based browser available on the web. Browsers such as Opera and Maxthon have caught the eye, yet they don't provide the overall aspects that makes Firefox the most used browser around.

Number 1 - Firefox (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/)
Number 2 - Internet Explorer (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/ie/default.mspx)

Best Free Anti-Virus Software

Since 1991, AVG Antivirus has kept its title as the best anti-virus that is available on the free and shareware market. AVG is an effective scanner that provides frequent updates and all the critical features required to refine such a good piece of anti-virus software. Equally as good is the Avast! Scanner which is though however to be slightly worse, feature and protection wise, seems to refrain from causing regular update problems that AVG users frequently encounter. Malaware however is an issue with both these main free systems as separate malaware detection and removal software would have to be used along side both of these systems as neither support removal and detection of malaware system issues.

Number 1 - AVG Anti-Virus (http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1)
Number 2 - Avast! Scanner
