Not great specs, pretty low ram, proccessor, and hdd. Also not latest OS X installed.

Personally I wouldn't but it is put to you. :)

Nope, due to the above. If you could save up some more or have more. You should buy a MacBook from Apple. They just released some new powerful models :)

Well.. I wouldn't. Specs are pretty darn low by todays standards. It depends if its going to fill your requirements.

I agree, save a bit and put your money into something that will give you an overall better experience and will not need replacing in a year or so because its too outdated or doesn't fit the requirements.

they just got updated today so you might be able to get the older version for really cheep right now

Not worth it. If you want to get a cheaper apple laptop, I will go for refurbished macs which are macs that are sent back to apple, they are repaired/parts replaced.
