videos on ipod..

I put them straight on off youtube, they come up with pretty bad quality on my ipod.. is there a way to stop it from doing this?

YouTube videos are normally compressed.. so, no there is no way to improve the quality of videos from YouTube.

Its not the fact its played on the ipod (The iPod is capible of playing near dvd quality) as it would look the same how ever you played it.

if you are downloading music videos then try downloading from a p2p, you will get good quality playback on your ipod from there

Is it worse than Youtube quality? There is a site like downloadyoutubevideos.com and the quality is about as good as on Youtube. If the iPod randomly compresses it further, then it needs a good slap with a herring.

well you need to convert the movie files to the apple format of .mov (not sure if it plays other types so feel free to correct me) but having done this myself there is no noticable quality loss of the video.
