The quality isnt that bad, apart from abit of lag on hotel view but apart from that it runs just like normal.

Why don't you use the Ubuntu default version of Firefox?

Because a shockwave plugin for linux firefox dosent exist so you need to use Wine to emulate both shockwave and firefox so they run :D

There is a shockwave plugin for Linux becase ive downloaded it and used it

Infact: Shockwave, Flash and Authorware (wth?): http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/alternates/ - Has download links for linux

Flash:
http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash&P2_Platform=Linux&P3_Browser_Version=Netscape4

Get the tar.gz one:
.tar.gz installation

Click the "Download .tar.gz" link. A dialog box will appear asking you where to save the file.
Save the .tar.gz file to your desktop and wait for the file to download completely.
Unpackage the file. A directory called install_flash_player_9_linux will be created.
In terminal, navigate to this directory and type ./flashplayer-installer to run the installer. Click Enter. The installer will instruct you to shut down your browser(s).
Once the installation is complete, the plug-in will be installed in your Mozilla browser. To verify, launch Mozilla and choose Help > About Plug-ins from the browser menu.
Im using CentOS 4.3 (or 4.5 cant remember xD) but its the same principle...

Looks to me like a font problem then. If Ubuntu has TrueType support, get the Volter and Verdana files.

Think you have top copy them info /home/*user*/.wine/drive_c/windows/fonts so they will work via wine.

Habbo will not run in ubuntu without using third party software to emulate a windows shockwave applet, such software as crossoveroffice etc.. but at that its still very tempermental.

That isnt a font problem. I get it on Windows sometimes. It happens if your on other sites at the same time as habbo. Just close habbo and reopen it and it normally corrects itself.
