I've just put the disc in, and i'm going to like do this little diary crap thing until it's done, so I can see how long it's taken.
I got it free with my Dell PC [it's an upgrade], and it's Home Premium. Why not, lol.
6.50 - Placed 'Dell Windows Vista Upgrade Assistant' in the drive.
6.52 - It's replacing drivers so my PC shouldn't die when it upgrades.
6.57 - It's replacing some BIOS thing...
7.04 - Rebooted my PC to do some BIOS thing.
7.09 - Removing programs that won't work with Vista. Only two Dell help tools, will automatically install new versions itself.
I'll post updates, woop. Feel free to comment on how stupid I am. :eusa_whis

7.36 - First fault!!!! lol. When loading it on boot [even though they recommend upgrading when your PC is properly on], I get some error. Hey, i'll guess ill try doing what the instruction manual says.

Sorted - on Vista now... however, Dell lied to me. Graphics card not good/powerful enough for Aero or Flip 3D?
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr... they said it would work.
preposterous

Lol, most people install vista before checking their computer is compatible.
People complaining about not having aero or flip 3d may have vista basic :]
If you want vista i guess its best buying a new pc (what i did) or using fairly new one :]

Don't get me wrong but in a thread about wl 8.5 you said you were 13, and didn't know how to do a simple switch around with the language files. Now you are a taking a multi billion pound company to court.

Uhh sounds annoying your situation :l
I just got a new laptop from acer and the graphics are imense and the screen is shiny wich also makes them look betta! and I have windws vista home premium, already on. But mine was about £20 cheaper coz it was only one left and was off display, so they gave me discount!
BTW people if you are having a problem with getting MSN to work or ne other programs and it pops up with this gay thing saying blady blah stoped workin, PM me, You just need to download your latest security thing, It stops coz MSN takes up to much memory!

I have Vista Home Premium
It works Completly Fine
The Type Of Pc i am Currently Running it on is a HP Desktop
I have No problems its Just uses all my Shared Graphics
So it doesnt play games aswell ¬_¬
My overall Performance is 2.3 ¬_¬
Which is Poor My Friend Who Is running a worse Computer and Ulimate is getting 3.3 ¬_¬
so i will be Upgrading my Graphics Card any ideas What to Get ?
When i upgraded from Xp to Vista Installation took 5 hours i have a single core but its pretty good specs for australia. 2.8ghz, 256mb Nvida, 320gb hd 1gb ram
vista ran great for about a week and then i reverted to xp because it worked better i think if i'm to get vista i'll either buy a Mac and dual boot or i'll just buy a new computer
