Safari has been released for Windows XP & Windows Vista as a BETA.

I'm using it now. It's fantastic, really fast too.

This was posted in another thread at around 7pm by Tomm? This is 9:59pm?

Anyway, I might be interested if I didn't have aload of browsers already, but some of the issues are putting me off.

Well I have it and have had no problems yet, been using it since it was released. I'm going to leave the thread open as there is no thread under the Apple/Macintosh forum, except this one. :)

When i install and open it, it half opens, then i get the "this program has caused a error and needs to close' with the error report bit. This happened to me with the latest iTunes update.

I solved the iTunes one last night by re-downloading off the site and installing and it worked.

Guess ill have to do the same with this before i can test it out.

I use Vista and it didn't work for me. When I try to open Safari, I get "Safari is not responding" followed by "Windows is trying to fix the problem"

Lol - anyone who is tech savvy in the least could have found this out! Anyone notice the new apple.com too? Haha... WWDC people! The coverage was everywhere!

Anyways... I've been using it since like the second they released it and I love it :D

Doesn't work on my PC, it half loads and then has to close, on my mac, it works, but i can't see any differences than with Safari 2, apart from it makes my MSN crash, so i reverted back.

Apple, this isn't really worth being sent out as a public BETA.

Well... there is a reason its called a BETA!

(thats what they do until they work out all the bugs - my change homepage won't work)

My Safari just terminates whenever I start it after I shutdown for the night and went back to it in the morning.

Oh... and I just like the fact that Safari can do this so I'm gunna post it but has anyone else noticed that you can drag tabs out of the window & make new windows?

Looks really cool when you do it too :D

The firefox nightly alpha builds are more stable than this?
Other than takeing about 40 seconds or more to load, its sole features seem to be the abilty to crash (no error message, just freezes) and the fact, the toolbars, menus all remain blank and its immpossible to select the the url bar, it just goes blue and doesnt allow you to type.
if i click full screen on my second moniter, the window dissapears.
It displays no text on the only webpage i seem to be able to get on to, the defult apple start page. If it were less buggy and i could actualy use the browser to navigate to a website, im guess the text also wouldnt show.

Ive never seen such a bug ridden application, if this was an early alpha build maybe? but beta? there haveing a laugh.

Takes a few seconds to load certain pages but apart from other things its nice!

I'll be waiting til the stable release though.
