Ipod Problem

Okay, i had to reformat my pc after this blue error msg appeared and safe mode not working to repair it, anyway a week later, ive installed Itunes and want to delete all the songs on my ipod, so i plugged it in and added new songs as it should delete the songs on already auto right?

anyway, after i add the songs to playlist, the old ones are stil lthere and not the new 1s, like how can i fix this problem?

i've tried resetting it with the menu and the okay button:(

Restore factory settings and all that rubbish?

You must have clicked the wrong thing when the popup says "Do you want to keep the songs in your iPod because there are no songs in the library blah blah". Just import all the songs again, and make sure you click the right thing next time.
