Yes.

And the reason I have 415 is because I have been a VATSIM pilot for 3 years :P

ye? Its fun, its like doing whatever you do is fun to you, I <3 it, and If you go to the 'aviation world' you'd find many other people love it too ;)

I also like the practice.

Anyway I just flew Ibiza - Gatwick on VATSIM that makes 65 hours :)

Were going to spend 5+ hours a day on something thats a hobby of ours, And it simulate real world procedures. We're young pilots.

I bet if you sat ANY of us listed in the first post in a 737, We could land it easy.

ROFL..

It's not easy you know.. I don't know exactly how much you know, but tbh I doubt Cody (no offense mate) could land a 737 in real life.

I proberbly could if I had too, mainly due to me flying in real world and knowing where buttons are etc.

Let me ask you one question, where is the PTT (Push to talk key) on a 737 headset (Lets face it, your not landing without permission..)

i know that i cant really comment on this but landing a 100-tonne aircraft in real life may be a bit harder than doing it in a simulator.

flame me if you must, because i wouldnt have a clue as to how land a plane in a flight sim

btw if i dnt make sense its cus its like.. 2am..

I agree with you adam. Most of you fly planes with standard cockpits. Walk into a real 737 or 747 cockpit and there is loads more.

Installed all the programs etc, and it does not work :S?

I open up FS2004 and create a flight, put it at Gatwick, press the alt button, go to control panel...click it and then... what do I do next :S?

no offence was taken due to the matter that i'm not very experienced on flight simulator, only about 4 months on VATSIM, ye I couldn't land a 737 in real life, you've had real life experiences as a pilot, I haven't, so I don't know what its like flying in real life. + i'm only small :)

VATSIM is very good, and offers a good service. I think their website should be upgraded though.

Funny thing is, my first time with Squawkbox thing, and i was flying from Gatwick to London City and i was not use to using headings. The ATC was telling me all these headings, and i finally got used to it. I saw a runway, and it was on the headings he gave me and I landed.

I said to him that I had landed at London City, and he said i had landed at Biggen Hill! :P

Ill just use to it sooner or later. That is what the summer holidays are for ;)

Well, you could also use gps to navigate, on the create a flight menu click flight planner and enter your route, then start your flight as you would, then press alt on your keyboard, click views then instrument panel then gps.

Hopethat helps ;)

If anyone catches me online I'm ''Billy Murphy - 986219 GCTS''. It doesn't attract everyone but I was born into aviation with my dad being a pilot. I've been flying on VATSIM for about a year now but over 1 and a half years probably worked up just 200 hours on record. I probably have more since '98 but only been recording them for 1 and a half years. I fly on VATSIM quite a lot more now. I see you on EGNS tower now Daniel! :P
