That's Linux, well, Fedora, a Linux-based OS. I don't believe .exes run on Linux, do they?

Yes via wine. Its wine installed? Try typing wine into the console. From looking at your desktop it looks like you have tried to compile wine from source. Try installing it through the package manager.

There is a software installer in fedora that installs it.
