Applying to be a Hobba

Hey, I have a question about applying to be a Hobba. Anyone that can help is welcome to answer.

A little over a month ago I decided to switch screennames. (Now I am TheOrangeEvil, obviously.) On my old account I was temporarily banned (a 2-hour ban) for cursing. Heh, I couldn't help it - somebody spelled a curse word wrong and being the neurotic grammar freak that I am, I had to correct him. Anyway, in a few months I plan on applying to be a Hobba and I was wondering if that temporary ban on my other screenname will carry over onto my current screenname, via IP addresses or whatever.

Also, how seriously does a 2-hour ban factor against you?

I dont think that is very important, as it often happens that more ppl use the same pc, and as far as I know you can still become a hobba with a 2 hour ban anyway.
