Ive really only played around with the live CD so far, but i have to say its very tempting to duel boot it, granted im mostly obsessed with the more pointless novelty features at this point (wobbly window waggling)
It also seems to have alot more there ready to go. Anyone else downloaded it/got any opinions on it?

For those who aint, maybe give it a try even if u never played with linux before, if u have a free cd sitting around, just download it from here http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/download , burn the iso to disk, reboot with the cd in the drive and the live cd will allow u to run the O/S off the disk to play around with and try (or install properly if u like it)

Well its good but its really just building on previous ubuntu's so there is little really to talk about. Also lets not forget Mandriva 2008 and openSUSE 10.3 have come out this week and they are both great. Especially openSUSE 10.3 which is possibly one of the best operating systems out there at the moment.

Its good, but I'm still using XP and Vista more than Ubuntu. You can't do a lot off the live cd so its normally best to install, I have it dual booting with vista at the moment, its good, but I would prefer it if it had better wireless support so I could use it with my laptop.

my laptop is a 1.8 and runs on 512 and handles XP really well, cant see a pc/laptop with a pentium 3 and 512meg RAM having any problems handling this OS
