After using Ubuntu for a while before I reformatted back to XP I want Ubuntu back (Gusty Gibbon).

However, upon attempting to boot it, I press Start or Install, all loads up then I get a black screen which fuzzes up for like a second then fuzzy green writing appears in the middle of the screen for like 3 secs then does it again.

I have tried burning 2 different CD's, one Max speed, one Min speed, same problem. However I have previously installed Ubuntu fine and the CD works fine booted in VMWare :@

Any help anyone please, I've Googled it but no results. :eusa_wall

Use the alternate disc and burn at x4 speed (x2 gets errors for some reason)

Just try on the boot screen pressing f4 and changing the vga setting

You need to use the generic failsafe driver defaults, i forget how to get into them mind.
