Hey there

I was shown this thread: http://www.habboxforum.com/showthread.php?t=33
by a friend from another forum, and while it did get rid of the trojan executable, the mnsvcsp.dll file still exists, and norton warns me about it every 20 seconds and it is undeletable

I've tried running norton through safe mode, no dice, I've tried deleting it through safe mode w/ command prompt, no dice. I'm running WinXP Pro SP1 if it helps.... and I am the system administrator.

Oh yeah, I've also tried booting from the Norton (2003) CD, and scanning/deleting from there, but for some reason when I scan from the boot cd I can't scan my hard drives... or detect them for that matter.

I can't think of anything else short of formatting that could fix this...

I know there is a program out there called HiJackThis! that is said to be profficient in solving problems like these, but I can't seem to find it availible for download.

Thanks

nevermind I just deleted all the registry keys in the folder named after the dll and was then able to delete it... and there are no immediate reprocussions...

So if anyone else out there has this problem, I'd say you're safe in deleting it in the reg.

Thanks :)
