Midnights

Dear Taylor Swift connoisseurs from Europe: her solid, insomniac lavender instant classic of sorts is here...
I slept 2 hours and a half today to be one of the few poor men to first listen the songs in time.
It's hard to say this, but the Lana del Rey collab was personally a big disappointment.
Early personal top 3.: Labyrinth, Midnight Rain and Karma
Tell us your opinion, dude!
-
Karma is my fave!! And Bejeweled is second.
-
I've not had time to listen to them all more than twice yet, but my first thoughts of my favs are:
You're on your own, kid
Maroon
Anti-hero
-
First impression on first playthrough is that it's quite nice but nothing groundbreaking, mostly it's more of the same echo-robosynth-and-snare we already had with folklore and evermore. Not that that's bad necessarily just not very exciting. Also not sure that her "hey guys, I swear now!" thing really adds anything, got nothing against profanity obv but it feels forced in
You're On Your Own, Kid is an early favourite for sure, really really like that one
Vigilante Sh is the wish.com version of Look What You Made Me Do
Labyrinth is nice can see it being used as backing music for some teen TV drama scene where two enemy characters suddenly realise they've been in love with each other forever
Karma is a fun song, does lose points with me because I find the idea of properly believing in karma to be mega cringe but still a good tune
Just realised I don't have the *+*DELUXE*+* extras are they worth getting
-
3am edition songs are better than the rest of the album i said what i said
favs are You're On Your Own, Kid, Midnight Rain, High Infidelity and WOULD'VE COULD'VE SHOULD'VE(!!!!!!!!!!!). Glitch is making its way up there too with more listens
but yea i've never been a massive Taylor fan but this album is getting me, i love songs that really bring out my trauma

I've been listening to this album loads since my initial run through, all of my above opinions still stand but I am enjoying it lots and lots a few plays in also what's the point of Lana Del Rey being on that one track I'm pretty sure no-one would have known if it hadn't been announced
