Despite it being a nice suggestion I have to agree with the majority that a shout box like this would cause major server lag and would just be abused, so really it isn't an idea I feel would benefit the forum. Thanks for your suggestion though.

What about having a new subscription like 'Shoutbox Exclusive' who could use the shoutbox, That would surely maintain a good mature level even if it doesnt if they get '3' infractions for abusing it they lose there right to have it back and will have to ether buy again or not use / see the shoutbox.

A shoutbox would open security holes and also strain the server. Thats the main problem.

With the amount of people who use this forum, it would be hard to see the messages and would be hard to create a conversation.

Don't shoutboxes create alot of server lag, whether or not you see them, or have vBulleting upgraded their chat system? Last time Habbox Forum had a chat box it lagged really badly.

The only way you could do this is if you made your own IRC channel hosted by someone like dal.net or along the lines of that. Flashchat is good too.
