Lol it's just HBK, Misawa and Wayne posting really.

Alex, that hole thread is spam about a game. Why couldn't they just do it on their profiles? Pointless.
No, that's not fair, but you're obviously upset about a thread you liked being closed, so why are you now trying to get others closed? I'm pretty sure if you were in the other peoples postion, you wouldn't be very happy about someone trying to ruin your convosation. Not only that, but the thread you're trying to get closed is actually a valid discussion, while the other threads that were closed were actually being spammed. So what's your motive? You should just leave the decisions to the moderators, otherwise it ends up in pointless discussion, like this, which is infact what you're trying to get rid of. Since Alex has come to a conclusion, this thread should now be closed by your logic.
If think they should sort out the forum games section. Nobody uses it for enjoyment, just got post counts.

How on earth is that spam? It has a point. Spam is usually pointless, if that makes senseEven though most of the threads closed due to "spam" had a point to them, e.g. post your computer/gaming setup.

Minus today i havent visited this forum in two months and all im hearing is "Oh my god my thread has been closed im going to whine about it alot". All this has done has given YOU the chance to create a new, more interesting thread to take it's place. Sure, it might take some work to create a popular topic that is worth sticking to the top of a forum, but wont it ultimatly be worth it with the quality of conversation it will contain?
I for one am happy this has happened, for example in the music forum there were a vast amount of topics stickied that were not really used, this became very tedious when visting the forum wanting to post a new comment on a thread but being unable to due to nobody else posting after my previous post.
Pardon my complete lack of understanding but it seems to me that members happen to be getting awful vindictive about post counts. People seem to think that they deserve to have their post counts knocked off (and fair enough, if it was spam they should,) but it seems that people are kicking off a lot over what is just a number.
Regardless, that is in no way, shape, or form, spam, nor is it against the reasoning behind our closure of many threads. I'll quote my own post to show you what I mean:
The fundamental difference is that this thread was exclusively replying to posts and therefore fulfilling the requirement of a discussion and a community. Many people say this was a "spamming MSN conversation". I disagree. These two were in no way preventing anyone from entering the conversation. Nor were they even discouraging it. They continued an open conversation which anybody could have jumped in to (and from time to time people did). The fact that not many did jump in doesn't make it their fault that it stayed between the two of them. If, lets say, a thread about a Runsecape update went on for 200 pages between multiple members it wouldn't be considered spam would it? It would be considered discussion. Similarly, neither would an extended discussion of GTA. The only difference is that it happened to be between two people, but that was just a matter of nobody else wanting to discuss the subject.Originally Posted by nvrspk4
The reason for this is we believe that the purpose of the forum is to create a community and discussion. These posts do not foster a discussion, nor do they foster a community, you post your thing, and move on then someone else posts theirs and moves on.
