    Default Post your home network

We have a post your desktop/setup/pc so i though i'd add a new one, post your network!

Not 100% sure of the format, but heres my best attempt including a picture made using the magic of paint.

    Basic stats:
    Wireless: G
    Wired: 100mb

    Wireless networks: 2
    - Frog (internal - access to everything)
    - Toad (extenal - internet only)

    Networking Devices: 3
    - o2 modem/router (wireless turned of as it sucks)
    - Fon router (toad)
    - Linksys router (frog)

Est amount of Ethernet : 50m

    Wired computers: 4
    Wirelsss computers: 5(frog), unknown (toad)

    Network accessible storage: 3TB

    Key features:
    > Toad is separate from the internal network so people can use the internet without getting access to the internal network.
    > media on the media server can be accessed via any pc in the internal network
    > I somehow got permission to drill holes through the floor the so Ethernet is pretty well hidden.

    Thats mine, post yours :p

Although looks like you splashed out on a wireless N router When i move to my next uni house though i'm considering buying a gigbit switch which should give me a bit of a speed boost in the wired section :p

you should try the network storage idea though, all you need is an old pc and bigish hdd, share it to the network and u can just dump files on and off - its generally faster than usb (even with wireless) and a lot less hassle as you dont need to go find a flashdrive :p

I bought the Linksys WRT160N-UK Rev.1 and I also have a 100MBit switch in my room for extra PC's and ps3 etc.

I would network a PC but I don't really have a spare one at the moment but even if I did, I have no extra plug sockets for it

Yea, plug socket fu is needed, i now have 2 8 way breakouts, and 1 10way :p (along with the normal *6/*4 ones)

Kent uni auctions off its old pc's so you can get em uber cheap if you bid right (p4/2.0ghz/512ram = 20£)

Lines to and from wireless icons shows where the wireless is coming from and going to, the lines with out a wireless icon is an Ethernet cable. I'm not sure about the exact model of my dads computer or laptop, my laptop is black not gray and wider and my mums laptop is rubbish and XP so that is why there is a rubbish thing next to it.
