Some choose not insure young drivers, but I think you should ring back, maybe you'll get a different person and if they say the same thing, ask them to explain why.

Quinn Direct are pathetic. They quoted me well over £2k a year on my 1.2 Clio as a provisional licence holder!!!
Plus I thought they went into administration??
there's a difference between a normal and a performance car. anything above 150bhp iirc
cos maybe by the time u hit 21 u will decide against that carits uglyyyyy
no
so there in admin so they put there prices up so maybe they can afford to get out?
also quinn are AWFUL and i strongly advise against them.
no
quinn has been bailed out of administration.
when I had the low-spec tdi golf, i was insured through barclays, when I got the golf GT, it was the same capacity engine (1.9) but more powerful and with better trim, they wouldn't insure me so I had to cancel the policy and go with someone else. It might be the same capacity but it's got more power than a focus.
you can get insured on a ferrari at 17 but not with any old insurance company, it would be a specialist one and very expensive, but there again, if you can afford a 'rarri then you can afford the insurance.
i'm the star in the reasonably priced car!
