After recent purchases I've decided Nike for shoes, Levi for jeans (just got some 511 and they're awesome mmm) and Abercrombie for everything else.

yeah yo i love 511s, i think i have 3 or 4 pairs they're so classy. lol im just not a fan of their clothing in the least, its all regular generic clothing with abercrombie written on them in huge letters. plus their advertising is kinda annoying, just google image search "abercrombie" and half the results are their ads that don't even show a shred of clothing, just a close up of some dude's ripped abs. if you walk past an abercrombie store, all their pictures on the outside show their models in as little clothing as possible, if you had never heard of abercrombie before and walked passed it, you'd probably just assume it was a high-class sex shop.
but to each his own!
I guess it's less exclusive in the US since you have it everywhere. You can only buy it in London in the UK so it is pretty special hereyeah yo i love 511s, i think i have 3 or 4 pairs they're so classy. lol im just not a fan of their clothing in the least, its all regular generic clothing with abercrombie written on them in huge letters. plus their advertising is kinda annoying, just google image search "abercrombie" and half the results are their ads that don't even show a shred of clothing, just a close up of some dude's ripped abs. if you walk past an abercrombie store, all their pictures on the outside show their models in as little clothing as possible, if you had never heard of abercrombie before and walked passed it, you'd probably just assume it was a high-class sex shop.

oh well in that case i completely understand, honestly. i base a lot of my clothing choices on exclusivity (levis are popular but 511s arent as common as some of their more regular fit types, and nikes i usually stick to old school dunks from ebay lol) so i feel ya on that one. i love clothes that arent sold many places. like just recently, i was looking for a pair of reebok exofit hi sneakers, i saw a picture of them somewhere and really liked them. but i called all the shoe stores in my area, malls included, and none of them carried the shoes, which just made me want them even more lol. a few days ago i ended up buying a new pair on ebay for less than half the price they go for in retail, so im pretty stoked about that.
but yeah im sure at the very least 90% of the malls in my area have an abercrombie & fitch store, they're probably one of the most popular mall-type stores in america behind hollister (puke). so whenever i see someone here decked out in a&f i just see someone who severely lacks personality and free thought, you know? although i still dont like their clothes, i guess it really is just the concept of how common their clothing is that bothers me.
Yeah I know exactly what you mean man. It's like in my town, there's a Superdry shop, and EVERYONE (literally pretty much everyone) wears it, so I completely avoid it as I hate just looking like another person. Hollister are opening a shop in my town in the next few weeks, so that will be another brand getting overworn and ruined in my areaoh well in that case i completely understand, honestly. i base a lot of my clothing choices on exclusivity (levis are popular but 511s arent as common as some of their more regular fit types, and nikes i usually stick to old school dunks from ebay lol) so i feel ya on that one. i love clothes that arent sold many places. like just recently, i was looking for a pair of reebok exofit hi sneakers, i saw a picture of them somewhere and really liked them. but i called all the shoe stores in my area, malls included, and none of them carried the shoes, which just made me want them even more lol. a few days ago i ended up buying a new pair on ebay for less than half the price they go for in retail, so im pretty stoked about that.

I barely ever see people with Levi's in my area, let alone 511s so I guess that's one reason I love them so much. Everyone here either wears Superdry or g-star (ergh). My nikes are mostly 6.0s which are a bit overworn, but whatever haha.
Next shoes for me are going to be Supras, no idea where to get them and I don't think anyone I know has them so they seem like a good unique brand to go for lol!

i wouldnt say levis are like, incredibly common, but they're probably the most well-known jeans worldwide. i think the reason they arent as commonly worn is because of how expensive they are, non-fashion-conscious people wouldnt really buy them because to them they're just another pair of jeans, they can buy other jeans for a third of the price and be just as happy, they dont really think of jeans as a high part of fashion. nike 6.0s are obviously popular but the great thing about them is how wide of a variety there is of them. even stores in malls dont all carry the same types and color schemes, and if you really wanted to be sure no one else has your type there's countless websites with all sorts of nikes, not even including ebay.Yeah I know exactly what you mean man. ive never worn a pair of supras, idk how well theyd feel for me (i have narrow feet, a lot of shoe types feel weird for me. converses are so uncomfortable on my feet). they arent terrible looking but they dont really stand out as my style. i know that their hi shoes are most popular but i think their lows are better looking.

Man you crazy. I like their lows, but man, you find me a better looking high top than the Skytops and I will eat my toenails.
