Thanks for your opinion Jamesy, as always I value it !
I can't rep you again for constructive posting - gotta spread!

And it's true. I done english. We were allowed to swear in our essay's if it was constructive when I done higher english. Not just "pointless profanity".

And is it an option you can add to vBulletin to turn the filter on and off jamesy? I think if it is, we should be allowed with some strict guidelines. Such as, account age, user age, user behaviour (such as infractions).

    edit: @Skizzling "f*****g" isn't.

why should it not exist at all if it's optional?

anyway, i don't think swearing should be alowed on the forum, apart form the very minor swear words simply because the forum is aimed at young teenagers (12/13/14)

i know most people arn't young teenagers, but that is what the forum specialises & focuses on

Not to my knowledge. It wouldn't be very effective though - since words are filtered when the post is submitted (which is why when words are removed from the filter, ones already filtered don't change) which means that turning it on and off wouldn't show or hide the swears made before the option was changed.
Ex-janitor. Might pop in from time to time, otherwise you can grab all my information from http://jamesy.me.uk/

It's not going to happen, the filter will never be removed. I don't want to waste your time discussing it so thread closed.
