Lol it might be relatively easy but it's also relatively boring for me which is a shame. I can't stand dungeoneeringwell that is the general basis of it, you have to open all of the doors (unless they are bonus doors and for whatever reason you can't actually unlock them, e.g. 104 woodcutting [which you can pot to]) and then kill the boss. Only kill monsters if the door to the next room is a guardian door (it'll say so if you hover your mouse over it) otherwise just leave them and don't waste time. It's relatively easy to get the hang of after a few dungeons =]
Your stats are very good though so well done on your achievement, and a much later congratulation on your 90 ranged.![]()
so aslong as you get to the room where the boss is and kill him thats where your xp comes from?well that is the general basis of it, you have to open all of the doors (unless they are bonus doors and for whatever reason you can't actually unlock them, e.g. 104 woodcutting [which you can pot to]) and then kill the boss. Only kill monsters if the door to the next room is a guardian door (it'll say so if you hover your mouse over it) otherwise just leave them and don't waste time. Aw no it's not boring if you're in a party with friends, especially if they're just as nooby as youSkype/ventrillo can make it fun. Thanks =]
The exp is based on quite a few factors:-
- Floor number
- Amount of rooms opened
- Complexity
- Party size
- Prestige
Lets say you have a party of 3 doing a complexity 6 floor 10 dungeon made for 2 people. A f10 c6 3:2. Each of your party will get an equal amount of exp and then that exp will be based on their own prestige, for example somebody who has a prestige of 51 (me) will get more exp for the same floor than someone with a prestige of 6 (you).
Prestige is based on the amount of floors you completed before you last reset your progress. For any of you that have played COD and similar games this will be a somewhat familiar system to the one you are used to. Let's say you're level 39 dungeoneering which means you can do up to floor 20. To get the maximum prestige for your level you'll need to complete all 20 floors, then reset your progress, and start over again. You'll have a prestige of 20 because you completed 20 floors which will mean your XP multiplier at the end of the floor will give you more exp than somebody with a prestige of 12.
For max exp it's always best to do complexity 6 and make sure the dungeon is built for the amount of people in your party; i.e. you're not going to get nearly as much exp if you choose a dungeon made for 2 people when you have a party of 5 (a 5:2) as you would if you chose one made for 5 (a 5:5).
Some people that are new to dungeoneering seem to think that amount of monsters killed = amount of exp gained - completely false.
Questions?
