i believe its standard on the Ghia model, as well as the chromed boot handle on the rear iirc.
always been the case on ford ghia models.

What focus litre you got then? I know you have Ghia but whats so different about that then the lx etc?
The only difference i can spot is the wood touch?

The Focus in 1998 came in four derivatives; CL, LX, Zetec & Ghia. The CL was the base model, but the LX and the Zetec were on the same level up from the CL; the LX being the model with more interior features but not the looks and the Zetec lacking the features but sporting alloy wheels, front fogs, sports seats etc. The Ghia was the creme de la creme though, combining everything from models below, but chrome strips/boothandle, Ghia badges, different alloy wheels and wood-effect trim set it out as the "luxury", top-end model of the range. This can be said for all models of Ford, not just the Focus, but nowadays they market the ultimate luxury derivative as the "Titanium" on the newer models.

The more recent Focus mk1 models (circa 2003-2004) came as CL, LX, Zetec, Ghia and ST170; virtually identical to before but each model came with even more standard features (the LX came with air con + CD player as standard, for example). There's been loads of special editions aswell like the Elle, Ink, Edge, MP3 etc, which all came with loads of kit. The ST170, iirc, had all the features of the Ghia plus half leather seats and a 2.0 170bhp petrol engine.
