    Default Professional DJ'ing

    Hey

I don't know if this is in the correct section but I'm looking to start DJing, not with Sam broadcaster though.

I would like some turntables with a nice, clear headset (with mic), i would like to DJ on the internet with this equipment.

Can you recommend some turntables and equipment to me? The price doesn't matter but i'd rather it be under 400 GBP.

    Thanks

    Hey,

You wont get a good set of turntables for less then £400. You might get cheap set of belt drive ones but wont be very good for scratching or anything. When you get some turntables you just need to conenct your mixer with one of these http://www.amazon.co.uk/3-5mm-Phono-..._ob_ce_title_1 to your computer.

Thats what I do anyway, well ust to not I use virtual vinyl.

    Thanks

Hmm i really dont know about DJ'ing over the internet with that sort of equipment. My only guess is to use a MIDI cable or something? i really dont know if you can get them on PC's, so your best off asking most of the people on this forum who know a loaddd more about this than me =D

EDIT: I kept the thread tabbed and someone beat me to it

I really wouldn't advise spending all that money just to DJ over the web. It won't make you a professional either, and chances are heavily against you that you'll get any kind of gain. Unless you're very well off, it'd be a bad move in my honest opinion.

If you do it online it would just kill the quality of it.

Guys, learn what your talking about first
It won't kill quality and you can be successful.

If you want it professional then you will need a: (Links are my suggestions)

    Decent headphones (£100 up): http://www.akg.com/site/products/pow...nguage,EN.html
    Decks, no idea
    A very good mic: http://www.heilsound.com/pro/products/pr22/
Mic stand: Get a heilsound one, site above
A mute mic button for when you cough e.t.c: http://www.procosound.com/?page=viewprod&cat=215&id=796
