I think honestly part of the point of merging was for the fact they can have cheaper workers, that don't know English that well..

Obviously the point was to save money in as many areas as possible.

Outsourcing to Singapore was the main reason. Now they can pay singaporean mods £1/hour ;l

    Disagree.

I believe it was more to cut server costs etc. They could have used Singaporean people and not merged.

I think they generally thought we'd like the change. For me, it didn't work, but for others maybe.
    One for the road.

Why does everybody think they don't speak English in Singapore?

Singaporians all speak English. My dads cousin ran a hospice there. Why do you think they are catagorised an English speaking hotel

People in Singapore are great at English and looking at some of the uni assignments completed by the Singapore int. students their grammar and spelling is much better than those who were educated in this country.

SG mods used to mod the hotel pre-merge as well after all why pay someone in the UK night rates when you can pay someone in a different time zone day rates.

This is obviously a failure in proofing like OP suggested.

Yeah, to be honest this is just one small mistake. I've many a time seen native speakers write even less understandable passages before. It's just an everyday human mistake that we all can make once in a while.
