    [READ BEFORE POSTING] Forum Specific Rules

    Due to the large amounts of rule breaking and rudeness in these forums, especially coming from complaint and flame threads, we have put some new rules into place for the Habbox Feedback forum. They are rather simple and clear cut, and easy to adhere to. They deal with what type of complaints are and aren't allowed.


    Allowed



    • Complaints about departments or policies - You may make complaints regarding groups, departments, Habbox as a whole, and Habbox's policies or rules, as long as they adhere to the below criteria for a good thread.
    • Criticism must be constructive - Everyone can say HABBOX SUCKS, GET NEW MODS, NO MORE RULES! Instead, you could say that certain rules should be more lax for given reasons.
    • Give reasons - Don't just say something and don't back it up. For example, do not say "Raise the limit for signature pictures" and leave it at that. Explain why you are suggesting your idea.


    Example:

    Hey,

    I personally believe that Habbox's policy allowing people to buy reputation should be removed. The reason for this is that it allows people to get around the reputation system and recieve pointless rep. I think the forum would benefit if reputation was no longer allowed to be bought, and also it would stop people from trying to "buy" respect.

    • Complaints about individuals - If you have a problem with a specific member of Habbox Staff, or a specific moderator, do NOT post it here. Specific complaints should be PMd to a General Manager (lawrawrrr, Ozad, FlyingJesus) or posted in THIS FORUM. The Feedback Forum should not be used to criticize individuals.
    • Destructive criticism - If you're posting just to knock people down a peg or insult people, do not post here. Only post if you're trying to improve something, and doing it in a civil way, that is within the rules.
    • Arguments without reasons - If you can't back up your statements with logic or facts, then don't post it. If you don't even have logical arguments, there's no point.


    Example:

    LAWRAWRRR SHOULD BE FIRED! SHES REALLY MEAN AND I DON'T LIKE HER. SHE SMELLS REALLY BAD TOO. FIRE HER OR ELSE!!!!
    Your administrator Nick is really stupid. He gave me an infraction for something that was a mistake. Fire him, because he's a terrible moderator, and he removes people's good rep!
    Though the first example is extreme the second one is more civil although, is still against the rules.

    This post will simply answer any questions towards the forum & any other question to do with moderation.

    Name Change Rule

    Only VIP's or users who have purchased a "Name change" from our shop are granted the ability to change their username.
    The only exception to this is if you're wanting to change your HabboxForum username to match your Habbo username, in which case this can be done for free with proof you are the Habbo account owner.


    • You can change your name to anything that is not currently registered and is within the rules
    • You can request a name that another Habbox Forum member already has, as long as they have fewer than 100 posts and has not been online for a year
    • You can also request a name that has fewer than 500 posts and has not been online for five years
    • Any account that has over 500 posts keeps their username forever!


    All name changes are at the discretion of lawrawrrr, Ozad, FlyingJesus and Triz who can, and will in some cases exercise their right to refuse without any reason.



    Issues with Bans & Infractions


    If you feel that you have been banned unfairly or by accident you may post a thread here explaining what has happened. Forum Management will respond to your thread as soon as possible and take appropriate action.

    If you feel that you have been infracted unfairly or by accidentally you may post a thread here explaining why you should not have this infraction. Forum Management will respond as soon as possible and take appropriate action. Forum Management will not reply to any threads regarding your ban or infraction outside of the support forum or in a PM

    Please Note:
    - We never give out information about why somebody is banned. This is because of privacy. If you want to know why your account is banned please use www.habboxforum.com/support
    - Asking for yourself, or someone else to be unbanned is against the rules.
    - Habbox forum reserves the right to terminate any account at any time.

    The best and most sensible thing to do when you are banned is to use the www.habboxforum.com/support link instead of causing trouble on the forum, as this then looks bad on you.

    Issues with Staff


    If you have an issue with how a Forum (Super) Moderator has dealt with something please contact the forum manager: Triz, or one of the General Managers: lawrawrrr, Ozad, FlyingJesus - If you have a complaint about another forum member or staff member, please post a thread here
