They're not world class. Hasselbaink was on the verge in his Chelsea days, never got there though.

Hardly amazing, they beat two very very average European teams at home. Struggerling immensely away.

Yup It was a miracle for them.
A nightmare for me.
Anyway Saviola will be too hard for Boro to handle.

They can't be ars.ed with the Premiership.

Saviola's good, not great. Kanoute aswell, abit hit and miss. I actually expect Boro to win it.

Anyone know why McClaren does't start Yakubu in Europe? He's probably their best finisher.

Yakubu hasnt played in europe before this season, Viduka and Hasslebaink have all played in tons of european tournaments.

I saw most of the two matches, they weren't that great. Conceding two goals at home to a poor team isn't what I call amazing to be honest.

Credit to them though they battled on, and scored a few goals. Not surprising considering the opposition.

EDIT: And to the orignal post, I think the UEFA Cup is awful. Look at the teams left in it, speaks for itself. Whereas the Chapions League is far more entertaining, Arsenal Vs Barcalona has all the makings of being one of the best finals ever.

Well done to Boro and all credit to them, but you really can't compare the UEFA cup to the Champions League. The Champions League is in a totally different league to the UEFA cup, and always has been.

Yeah but look at the Semi Final match between Barcelona vs AC Milan, you would of thought that would of been "game of the year" but it was nothing Special.. but you never know.. this could be a better type of game than the Barcelona and AC Milan 1

No not really, Milan are a defensive side - and what has that got to with anything? The Champions League is superior to the UEFA Cup in every possible way.

Even if it was a goalless draw, it was still good. Just cause the final score is 0-0, it doesn't mean that the game wasn't good at all...

The Champions League is much better than the UEFA Cup, but there's still no denying that Boro have done well and had some pretty exciting and enjoyable games in the UEFA Cup as of late.
