Wow it's amazing. To think Gretna were playing Scottish non-league football four years ago, and are still semi-professional, with most players having other jobs, were walking out to a packed Hamden Park stadium to play Hearts in the Scottish Cup Final, the finale to an amazing season which saw them clinch the 2nd division championship. That wasn't the main thing though. Due to Hearts' good finish in the Premiership, it meant no matter what the score in this game, Gretna WOULD be playing UEFA cup football next season.

Hearts took a half-time lead of 1-0, and Gretna's dream seemed to be over, especially when they missed an open goal in the second half. Then they won a penalty, which was saved, but the rebound was bundled in. 1-1. But it was all too good to be true, and Hearts won 4-2 on penalties. But still, what an amazing rags to riches tale.
