Just a quick thread to see how good you guys are at spelling. I think I am quite a good speller, (not to boast) how good do you think you are? Vote in poll if you like, or put what words you struggle with spelling etc.

Quite good at spelling I make the odd mistake irl but rarely mainly words I have not came across , spellings always been one of my strong points I don't put much effort in spelling on here and msn though because it doesn't mean a thing on here

I would say that I have quite good spelling. Except for a couple of words which I always get the letters mixed up with for some reason. And when I'mtyping I generally get a lot of spelling errors because I type very fast and don't check stuff very much, but for example, whe our English teacher decided that we were all going to have to check our spellings and correct every wrong spelling we'd got this year, my mistakes were deatail (detail. This was a writing too quick error), rehetorical (rhetorical. A word I always forget the spelling of), 2 other words that I missed apostrophes in, and that was it. SO I'd consider myself a fairly good speller really.

I might make a mistake on an uncommonly used word, but I wouldn't confuse "we're" with "were".

But hey no one is always 100%

I am.

Years 4-7 I did spelling tests at school (never done them in high school, unless English papers count), and I was the only person in the history of the school to never get a spelling wrong in all my time there. It's brilliant being clever, fuels your ego almost enough to make you fly.

Lol, flying jebus, belive it or not in primary school i never got one wrong on a spelling test ether, so its not that much of an achivement :p , they way its taught i just ended up temproly memoerising the spelling, so i could reporduce it when needed, and would then have complaty forgotten it a few days later "/

In normal terms my spelling sucks :D

I have learnt not to get confused with they're, their and there. So I went for the top one because the last time I made that mistake was probably Year 10.

Compared to when I first came on the internet, I spoke like a twit... I mean, I would use such bad grammar and my spelling would be very bad. But, from being picked on on my first forum because of this, I changed and now I use full English because I can type faster like this and I don't see the need to speak in slang any more. It just makes you look illiterate and dumb.

Some people say stuff like, "eh, its da internet dud, u cn spk lke dis init cuz its nt r/l". For me to type that out would take like three times the time as it would for me to use correct grammar and readable English.

I think my spelling is decent.

Well normal everyday words are fine, I rarely make spelling mistakes. It's just the unusual, uncommon, technical words that obviously errors will be made in. We were playing Cranium in class yesterday as it was our last ever class, and I had to spell a word I've never heard before and yeah, got it wrong :P So many words out there...
