Hmm

Algebra ie. n'th term, factorising, equalities etc
Shape ie. trigonometry, pythagorus therom (a2 +b2 = c2) 2 = squared,loci
Number ie. probibility

Theres some stuff its not certain on what will and wont be on the paper

Oh i'm absolutely dreadin this.. higher non-calc was bad enough + this is meant to be harder :( No amount of revision I did last time helped me at all.

I thought it was quite easy. But then again I only did Intermediate and found it generally easy.

lol, been waiting for this moment since year 4 xD
I must say, its ****ing amazing!
I never ever have to do quadratics again, never have to do standard form, never have to do circle theorems! :eusa_danc

12-06-2006, 11:21 AM
popcorn?
rofl mine was some guy called john has £2000 and sees the following advert
"Double your money, dont let it go up in smoke" or something like that
and the question was will john really double his money?
we were given half a page and all you had to do was work out an interest rate and state whether he does or doesnt double his money ;\

Had that question on higher, terrible wording. It said that the interest rate was "average" so it could've been a lot less for him, and it also didn't mention whether it was simple or cumulative interest, so really you could've put that he lost money and still be right. As for the rest of the exam,
OH MY SHI....
It was the biggest, fattest, veiniest **** of an exam I've ever taken. I really hope I got a C or above so I don't have to do it again.

I seriously found that sooo easy. And I did higher.

The non-calculator paper was more difficult that that 1.. ;|
My paper "provider" I suppose that's the name was Edexcel..

I can't actually remember what the questions were though... :eusa_shif

There was some on Powers... HOW EASY?

First question I think was about someone's theory being wrong..
"6x - 1 will always be a prime number"
Give an example on how this is NOT true.

6² (6 * 6) = 36 - 1 = 35...
35 / 5 = 7.

That was easy? :s

We had no questions like that, we had AQA I think and it was all stuff to do with towers and cliffs :S

Write 2 points on the graph from the line y² + x² = 16.

The line has to pass through the point "1,2"

I just drew a line across x = 2. :s My friends were going on about Circle gemotry though. So I think i may of messed that 1 up.

You were right, your friends are stupid. :P

£10 down to £4... then 25% off that. 25% of 4 isn't exactly difficult... so the price was £3, which is 30% of the original price, 70% off.

The higher paper for edexcel was definitely alot easier than the non-calc. It actually surprised me, i was prepared for a great amount worse. But apart from a few slip ups I made, i thought it was easy. The last question boggled me though.. x² + y² = 16 blah blah. I was like :s My mates all drew a circle or something. I didnt get it at all.

FlyingJesus
12-06-2006, 04:00 PM
N!CK I wouldn't worry too much, I counted up the amount of marks that I didn't answer and it was 47/100 ^_^

Did anyone have the simultaneous equation question on Intermediate with like 5a and 2a? What answers did you get? I got a=3 and b=-2 or it might have been otherway around, but I know that I either put 3 or -3 and 2 or -2 cos I worked it out to the full:P

Also for the graph question with the co-ordinates what co-ords did you put? ;x

I just drew a line through x=2.. :D

Saying it was easy, i'll end up with about a C now.. :rolleyes_

Btw ~ How do you remember trig?
I use "SoH CaH ToA"..

12-06-2006, 04:36 PM
Yep same SOHCAHTOA is the easiest way. My mate remembers with a rhyme or something. Very confusing :P And yea saying it was easy i'll end up failing lol.
