Okay.

Zidane scored for France on the 7th minute. M. Materazzi then scored for Italy in the 19th minute. There were 2 over times, but score remained 1-1.

Zidane got a RED CARD after headbutting Materazzi. I have NO IDEA why but I'm guessing he got ****** off. BUT WHY!?!?!?!

Anyways, the penalty shootout was 5-3. Barthez is a rubbish GK and I hope France replaces a better GK than him the next time FIFA comes up.

Please post your comments about the World Cup or maybe some solutions to why Zidane did that unecessary headbutt

Because in a free kick, zidan was held back by him, thats why...
then as zidane walked off he smiled, then he said something to him as he walked by, then he turned round and headbutted him full on just above the right nipple.

I don't know why Zidane would be such an idiot and end his career like that, and cost France the cup. He has had much worse when he was younger, but when it mattered most he messed up. :l

Basically Zidane was being held in the penalty area.. No free kick walk away Zidane says something too Materazzi he says something back.. Zidane walks on, turns around and says something too Materazzi he turns back and walks on and Materazzi says something obviously quite offensive and Zidane does his bull impression.

How do you know that?

If it's just what you think then I do not think that they would understand each other.. unless they said it in english.. :)

Italy is OK for me, but I just can't believe Zidane did that. I wanna use that on my sig as well :P Thanks and thanks for reminding me about the typo I got on my SIG :)

Oh yeah, Zinedine Zidane has been awarded the Golden Ball as the best player at the World Cup despite his sending off in the final on Sunday night. Phewf. At least it's not too much of a bad ending to his career.

it was due to him prevoking him and holding him down in the free kick , if zidane stayed on i bet france could have had a very good chance :rolleyes:

if you didnt see the other matchs when italy got a chance to get fouled / annoying other players they always went for it eg the italy vs austrailia match :rolleyes:

I don't think Zidane deserved the Golden Ball award. A bit hypocritical in my eyes. They don't give the young player award to Ronaldo for all of his antics (and rightly so), yet they give the main award to Zidane after headbutting another player!

FIFA don't have a clue, should of gone to Cannavaro.

I wanted Italy to win more than France, beacuse I don't like France's manager. Looks like my French teacher.

After seeing what Zidane did, I wanted Italy to win more than anything. It doesnt matter what he said, it isn't worth the headbutt.

Zidane was an idiot. He has enough experience to know that it was wrong to do that and that he'd get a red card for it. He should never've been awarded the Golden Ball

I think its because, as Zidane was being wound up, and because hes algerian [Zidane] Materzzi might of said "What are you going to do when you retire? be a bomber?" because Algeria is a dangerous country.

He done it because;

His mom went into hospital sick, so he went to play the game with his mom on his mind all day and while the match was on. So the guy called him a dirty terrorist he jogged ignoring it then he cussed zidane's mom, so he turned around ran up to him and headbutted him.

That was his 14th red card. He has also stamped on the former Suadi keeper, and headbutted someone in the Champions League.

Matarazzi - I'd rather have the shirt off your wife/sister (Unsure)

Zidanne - Headbutt's (Thinks - have the shirt off that!)

-Obviously the thinks bit is made up by moi ;)

But yeah thats how it happened

FIFA I think are still thinking about whether Zidane's Golden thingy award should be retrieved back. Anyways, I read it on the news, that maybe, JUST maybe, there may be a rematch between France and Italy, because only 1 of the refs seen this.
