just get a football and chuck it at ur noggin and headerin back into ur arms or a selected target

yes but the ball comes in on an angle if it was from a cross and at a different speed.

also i always have my head down wen i run anyways i can stop this(i look at ball when running with it)

i dont want to make a bad impression on my new team mates

Don't worry about it, everyone will get nervous before there first game...Even professionals.

Just keep practising and you will get better. If its just headers you need working on, just go down to the park or w/e with someone, and get them to throw/kick the the ball to you so you can header it.

i had problem heading too, i have near enough mastered the skill now. the key is to keep your eyes on the ball at all times. key to getting better is to go in without any fear, also practise from different angles, defending and attacking headers.

Well if you can't head the ball, then make sure you don't go up for corners etc and you stay back, and shout them to get into space or they will call for the ball and you can play them through.

well, good way to practise headers is to ask your friend to cross the ball to you.
or get them to throw it to your head.
orr, throw the ball against a wall to your head.
if you're worried about that, stay back in mid/def for corners and free kicks.
dont worry, everyone gets nerves.
you'll do fine :)

you really can't play in a league if you can't head.

loads of people do that when they're nervous about headers.
just practise, take your time, and you'll gain confidence soon enough.

Get a mate or someone to help you. Practice him throwing the ball towards your head firstly from staright on and then progress it by getting them to be thrown from an angle.

heading wise, if you're unsure shooting with your head, try a glancing header to lay someone else for a shot?
i suggest playing offensive midfield.
for corners, you could stay in mid, defend, maybe make a break.
and if you want to score, go up for breaks and some free kicks.

i feel better in defence

same with me, im normally like attacking left mid or somthin, then when it comes into our half i just stay like in our box defending for ages cos im better at it.

I'm always in midfield ;)
I take most free kicks, go up for corners, etc.
I do have a slight trouble with heading.
Just try out some headers, if you're unsure, slide back into defence.
what I did on my debut :D

Albion

in corners i like to just stand like on the throw in line the other side of the pitch like 18 yards out becoz at our school evry1s like rubish so it always roll through

If you're a striker then heading is a priority. Keep work work working, don't give up and believe.

not all corners/free kicks will come to your head.
some will roll to the touchline, or be cleared out.
i suggest staying near mid, by the touchline.
and go up for some, give it a go.

If you can't head, and your game is tomorrow, try taking the ball on the chest with one touch, play it down to your feet and lay your friend off at the edge of the box.

If you can't jump that high, I wouldn't advise it.
