Erm.. i think it's okay but the thing i don't like about shakespeare is all the old english words. But some might argue that it makes the script/poem come alive :s

And i havn't started shakespeare yet, but should be soon.

No-one really likes Shakespeare even the english teachers hate to teach it. I do wish we could have it in modern english so we can understand what is being said and then have read it in ye olde english.

We did Romeo and Juliet in Year 9. It was extremely boring and we went to the Workshop.

If I remember correctly you fell asleep in Macbeth most of the time...

We did Macbeth for SATS in yr 9, admittedly - i quite liked it. I did Romeo & Juliet coursework for GCSE and that was boring. I saw Macbeth at theatre, it was pretty good, personally i dont have much of a problem with old english.

I really like the play personally - I read it in year 9 - and I LOVE the film.
Try watching it as it really helps you understand what goes on, although bits in it are different, your teacher should point the differences out to you :D
Good luck with it, I hope you enjoy it as much as i did, though I may have enjoyed it 'cause I'm a girl :p

Macbeth is ok, but not as good, harder to understand - really psychological - try the film again. ;)

You guys are Lucky.. I did Henry V in year 9 for my Sats.. Dear god that was confusing. I then did Macbeth in year 10.. I actually quite liked it, Althou soem bits are too funny for words. Romeo and juliet is a great play.. I never got to do it but We breifly did some in my As-levels.. so tragic.. Also the film isnt half bad.. :)
