Okay, basically im gunna tell you the 7 main laws on how to revise successfully ;)

Law 1 is your environment - an important factor the kind of light that you revise in. Sometimes main lights are too bright and make you squint. Hence not seeing the words right. A good light is maybe a desk / table lamp. Another thing is space. If you are in a crowded place, even if its big but has junk around, get rid of it and clean up. You need lots of space to revise properly :) Next is your equipment. Dont go and start work, but run up and down the stairs getting each thing in turn. Make sure you have it ALL at the beginning. Make sure you have no distractions. That includes mobile phones, messenger, family etc. Also, make sure you keep oxygen around your body. When you lean forward, your ribs pressure your diaphram, which will prevent appropriate breathing for your brain's concentration.

Law 2 is your 5 senses - Try using as many senses as possible when revising. Sight and hearing are the main ones. Try actually making pictures and stuff too, so your doing something, which is your sense of touch. Maybe answer alot of questions too.

Law 3 is Exaggeration - trying using colours and pictures for this. If you think of alot of colours and images, then it becomes easier to remember. Also, try exaggerating it all. Your brain doesnt remember boring, normal stuff. But it remembers outradious daft stuff.

Law 4 is small chunks - try revising in small chunks. A good technique is revising 7 facts in 20 minutes, then have a 3 minute break, and revise 7 more facts. This breaks it down and your brain will also remember its maximum amount. Sometimes try using 19 minutes learning 7 facts, and the last minute to review everything you have learned / revised so far.

How to eat an elephant :P As the saying goes lol

Law 5 is repitition - Repeat things around 6 times. Your brain needs to something to repeat 6 times before it has a strong connection. It's the way it works ;)

Law 6 is rest & nutrition - You need atleast 8 hours sleep in 3 days in a row, before your exam. Make sure the times are correct too. No point having 8 hours sleep, but from 2am - 11 am. That doesnt work :P You need to time your sleeping pattern so you are used to being awake at the times for school. Also, make sure you steadily drink pure water throughout the day, around 2 litres in total, but if you cant drink that much, try just glasses at a time, drinking slowly. Keep yourself hydrated.

Finally, Law 7 is F.U.N - well you know what it stands for, well you do if you watch spongebob. F is for friends who do stuff together, U is for you and me, N is for anywhere and anytime at all. Well almost anywhere and anytime at all ;) Make sure you keep your revision interesting and fun. If you revise with a friend or do something wierd whilst revising, like sitting in a tree etc. It makes your revision more appealing.
