Hello and welcome back to Habbox UK Forum :8!

We are very happy to welcome you back. After all the hard work myself, tomlegend, 8freak8 and sierk have put in, we are glad to say the trouble is now over :eusa_whis!

This means that the forum should be fully operational. Any problems you find, please do not hesitate to let me know about them via PM.

Please note that any accounts, posts, threads, changes to your account made since Saturday morning will be lost. Any VIP subscription bought will also have disappeared so you will need to contact nvrspk4 regarding that so he can set it up. Please don't bother cheating your way into VIP, nvrspk4 will be able to check if you have paid or not :).

One final note: We request that you change your forum account password as soon as possible for security reasons.

Please also note that all VIP emails have been deleted. Hopefully that isn't a big problem, we will be able to restore them as we get the email's requested.

Habbox.com should be up within the next few days. We will be working very hard to restore that as soon as possible and also get Habbox Canada Forum back up online as well.

We are very sorry for the inconvience over the past few days. It has been a night mare for us all.

Thanks

Why did all this happen in the first place?
The reason we went down Sunday afternoon was for some server maintenance on the servers by our technicians. They were suppose to upgrade some software and in the end, the database ended up being deleted. Please note that this was not any staff member's fault, we were not informed that it would delete the database and expected the technicians do take a backup before doing any work on the server but they didn't do so.
The next morning, the forum was hacked by someone who gained access to the servers. He was able to change the passwords to gain access to the server. This meant we would have to clean out the server in case he bugged it and then off course, get all change our passwords changed.

What about Habbox.com?
Habbox.com was hacked by the same hacker. Unfortunately for us, he even gained access to the domain details which is why he was able to redirect it to a freewebs website, then his own host etc. We had no control over what he did until he gave us our domain back. We also had to clean out the habbox.com server, which is why it is still down to date.

Please note that the domain is in our control now and it should be fine to visit the website although theres not much on it at the moment. I do suggest you change your Habbo UK password if you were on Habbo hotel when visiting habbox.com in the past few days (until we gained control to it yesterday).

Its been a rough ride, but we are nearly off this roller coaster and will move on to restoring our normal services :).
