I agree with you there. I think it's just the police being on edge due to that school shooting.

a weapon was found in my school once and for the next two weeks the second the register was taken the whole school was on lockdown. (nobody in nobody out situation.) i didnt mind because it was still easy to sneak things in (stink bombs, food out of canteen and elastic bands) so it was fun

It always happens. The police go overboard to try to restore some feeling off safety to the public.

Whenever any intruder comes into a school the school is usually put into lockdown. My mum (who works at a school) said it should have happened when some guy (not from our school) wandered across the school oval and started a fight with a student. I'm in Australia though.

perhaps thats just AU, in my school people have been killed in fights before, and we've never been put on lockdown, even when there are weapons involved.

One time some ethnics from another local school were planning to get into the school and attack several students but the police heard and were waiting for them in the buildings. I wish I was there at the time..

Maybe the rules have changed or there is some leniency within the rule.

If tht gun shootin in that Universety didnt happern.

There would be 1 or 2 police checking around. Maybe none lol.
