I'd actually love to live in a house where the planes cross over like that.

Same Soph. Or I'd like to sunbathe on that beach. The wierd thing is to us it seems freaking scary but to the people who live there and see this stuff everyday it's just a normal approach. :P

Lmao if I were the pilot I would crash the plane. Wonder how they do it so accurately.

They could of found some where much better to build an airport? Very low and masked by a mountain. Would love to live near an airport tbh x]

None of them are funny at all to be honest. Some of them are off real life crashses where lots of people died. I remember seeing one on Aircrash investigation.

they don't get 100k infact for easyjet if your a first officer you get 23k

and doomsboy I think they have ILS there.

" Salaries vary according to the type of aircraft you are flying and your experience. Pilots and first officers are paid more for flying jet aircraft than for flying turboprop planes. As an example, with EasyJet the salary of a fully qualified captain is £73,792, and of a first officer with a frozen airline transport pilot's licence (fATPL), £36,445. Ryanair pay an experienced captain up to £100,000 (salary data collected Jan 07). "

Just found this thread, I know it's rather old but im going to post it anyway.

100% normal approach, as published in charts - Executed very well by the crew.

Nothing wrong, proberbly scary for your adverage passenger.

Special training is required (lasts about 1 year) before pilots are aloud to fly to this airfield, similar to Innsbruck (LOWI) - Plus it adds about 1k onto your monthly wage each time you fly this approach! :D

Did i mention that they have to close a main road each time a plane takes off at corfu airport lol?

The runways is 1 m from the fence and the road is another 3 m behind that!

yeah but thats only because easyjet is a budget airline, you'd probably get close to 100k for say a long distance captain with virgin or ba.

Same at my local airport, controlers have control of the traffic lights for the road behind the runway, which is about 2m from the runway and when an medium/heavy wake aircraft takes off the road has to be closed for the takeoff roll and for 2 minutes after airbourne.

That looks identical to the flight I had which then went into an emergency landing.

But whoever put the video online got it wrong, there wasn't a landing in the video, it was a go around.

I fought it was too low, but then you see how the hell they are gonna desend to make the runway...

People shouldnt be allowed that close.. Theyll end up getting sucked in..

Its brung in on something called FMC - (Flight Management computer) and If not on some approaches, they have about a good few years to train approaches like that anyay.

Sorry but I think you'll find that it's a visual approach so it's hand flown..

Never does an FMC fly you directly into an airport, maybe onto the glide, then use ILS and autoland but meh.....
