Hey guys.

Tonight at 12pm/tomorrow Scottish students can access their exam results online! Students who don't though will get there results in the post on Tuesday the 7th!

I'm undecided what to do!

So I think we should use this thread as a big place for everyone to post and discuss their results! :)

She cancelled her tours because she is heavily pregnant and is currently unwell because of it. Bit of consideration and understanding please. And stay on topic ;)

Wrong person to start on with Christina..

I can get mine on the 23rd but I might just wait until September because I only have R.S, maths and science to collect.

I know, it didn't bother me but oh well. Only like some of her songs, the others are too high-pitched-screaming songs ;) Hope she tours in OZ again though

She didn't cancel them anyway actually - she postponed them. A lot of artists just cancel the gigs and don't play them at all but Christina has promised to do them again once she is better. :)

I'm just going into 4th year, but in May I sat my English Standard Grade a year early 'cause I'm in the fast-track course. Anyway I got:

Reading - 2
Writing - 3

I'm actually quite pleased with that because on the day I was a nervous wreck. I was not prepared for the exam at all :P

But if it does go lower it wouldnt change his grade because they cant mistake that many marks. Theres a higher chance the marker will be more generous to you and find the mark you need somewhere :)

true, but to get a* you need 540 UMS, mine was 539 UMS and for A you needed 480, and it would be like impossible to drop 59 UMS :P but very highly more likely to gain one.

Not trying to criticise anybody, but how come most people on here seem to get all A's and A*'s? I just seem to find that a little odd, considering that some of you spend hours on habbo.

And btw, I got all F's + U's in GCSE's. (As my school were stupid enough not to remember that I'm redoing my last year of school!) (Due to me being in hospital)

At least somebody agrees with me..! But I wreckon it's because quite a large percentage of people go to private school as opposed to a public secondary school.

i think youv'e got them mixed up,
a private school is also known as a public school where you have to pay,
i know its called public, but public schools are the external fee ones (eg. 2000 pound a term or something ridiculous like that)

and state schools are the ones that you don't have to pay external fees on

you can't really compare public against state because their totally different and in reality public are always going to come out on top of the leauge tables because its just fact lol

i got good gcse grades and i play habbo, although I did have a few months off it while i had my gcses, i did 2 weeks non stop revision before the exam season and non stop for the subject the night before that subject.
i got 4 a*, 4 a, 2 b, 2 c or something like that i posted them around august in this thread, im not being funny or anything but anybody can pass gcses its all given on a plate for you, you just got to learn like a few pages for each subject and make sure you do well on the coursework and do some past papers

I meant state schools then :P In our county (Bedfordshire) most Privatly-funded schools do alot worse than the state schools. The privatly-funded ones get goods, averages etc... state schools get outstanding and very good in OFSTED.

In IT im predicted A*.

Most of our exams are now modular and are taken over the course of 2 years, no mocks or anything.

I got my Maths results back for Paper 1 out of 3, which was worth about 18% of my total mark and got a B. Im happy with that considering it was only worth 18% and I now have quite a nice mark to improve on.

Im still not happy about my chemisty C1A exam result... C :/ im retaking it for sure, I couldn't live with a C in Chemistry.

Why? I've done 9 GCSE's in one year whilst going to school for three days a week and after working my bum off for half of the school year, (first part and the last! :D) it looks like I could be getting half-decent grades because of new work ethos at school.

So overalll I've done OK. General Studies I couldn't give a damm about and actually wanted to do bad so my Sixth Form would drop me from the course. I'm really happy about Business and English, as was expecting bad grades. I knew I hadn't done great on Business Decisions because I didn't finish the last question on the exam, and it was 12 marks, but the unexpected A in Business Behaviour has bumped my grade up. The real dissapointment for me was History, which I thought at the time was my easiest exam and is what I wanted to do at uni. But despite that, I'm reasonably happy :)
