it's only a friendly.

the result doesn't matter, it'd be nice to see some of the younger players put in good performances. i've got high expectations micah richards will have a good game, especially after his form so far. it'd also be nice to see michael owen have a good game.

Seeing as it's a friendly i'm just hoping to see a decent game, an England win would be a bonus.

Fact - Most males who boast about their tv size do it as they can't boast about any other size about them.

lol at that germanys cross was so fluke and robinson done well he held his position waiting for a outward swing ball like all keepers come out to cath/punch it out so he done as good as he could of in my opinion and i would love to have seen you to attempt to score that not easy as it all happened so fast the shock of ven de spilling the ball he done well to carry it and then release it shame he was off target.
i think england played super first 20 mins ace then they starting playing to relaxed as usual

england didnt play bad, robinson did, england learnt two things today david james should be the goalkepper and richards should stay in england team

liquid
22-08-2007, 09:36 PM
i still think robinson should be england #1 because i think we're all forgetting the amount of mistakes david james has made?

hes low on confidence atm and usually its only a matter of time before another mistake happens you only have to look at jens lehmann two howlers which led to 2 goals and another tonight which owen managed to put over the bar.. James has had a great couple of seasons and therefore should be given another oppurtunity as the england number 1

i agree, i also think richards played sooo good today just like all his matches this season

Richards has now played in two England Internationals and played very well each time has put in a good performance. He is a stronger header of the ball and isn't afraid to bring the ball down and play with it.
I'm not a huge David James fan but I believe he does deserve another go

Just got back from london.. England actually were all over Germany in the first half, then in the second half Germany started to get the ball alot of the time, but in the last 30 minutes, England had loooooaaads of chances.

All I can say is.. England were the better team.

got back from wembley bout 20mins ago

the first half was beautiful football tbh keep richards in the starting XI and give James a few more starts maybe against russia ?
Get rio ferdinand out of the starting XI he was awful, SWP should of started, i thought owen could of played longer but did he come of incase his injury popped up ?

i cant believe SWP got man of match :P he was on for 20 minutes iirc :P

£2.90 for a coke
£1 for a packet of crisps
£5 for a cheeseburger
£7.50 for chicken and chips

man expensive thank you maccy D's ! :P

At the end of the day, it was only a friendly.
McClaren needs to get himself sorted, we can't have him for euro, we won't stand a chance.
BRING BACK SVEN!

England sure love to sit back whenever they gain a lead. I'm sure if they carried on pressuring and attacking they would've won that match. All in all I thought it was an even match, but a little concerning as far as Lehmann goes.

Time for Rob Green or Scott Carson to have a chance

England do my head in.
There always boring. I can't stand friendlies. Owen is a right loser, crouch covers alot of ground but theres no wonder when he is a stickman. I think dyer + shaun wright phillips should of started. There both fast and talented. Shaun Wright Phillips is a class player.
McClaren basically loves beckham, he was nackered 2nd half and he didn't take him off. Or Beckham might of said "i've travelled all this way, give me a full game"
I just think we need to do better, because on paper, we have world class players. But when they play, they dont act it or play like it.

rob green hasnt played alot of games for club or country, carson is doing ok in under 21s, and david james has been doing great for club so maybe its james chance to make a come back first

Proper annoying though cos these people about 4 rows below us kept trying to get on the screen by jumping up and down in front of the people behind so they couldn't see.. Poor sods :(
