He probably said that not because the guy failed in RE but if he's happy then he failed in any subject then that kind of attitude gets you that kind of job.

I would say R.E is quite importent to know imo. If your working with people of all diffrent Religions, I would say it is quite vital to know about their lifestyle and culture.

On another note, I got a B in my GCSE, 75%

I failed it too, I didn't even bother revising for it.
It's useless, it's half a GCSE for me, and they is no other way to earn half a GCSE therefore 4 1/2 GCSE is basically as good as 4.

Right I don't get some of the people who post on the forum, they're happy that they got an E for R.E.:S Secondly, it's your life if you don't want to revise and feel happy about failing subjects, it's your own choice. Personally I want to have a good furture, so I actually study hard and get an outcome out of it, the lowest grade I got was a B from all my subjects. Basically it's your choice if you want to slack off and not study and not go for YOUR potential, your the only one that suffers, but hey not my place to decide.

A gcse is a gcse at the end of the day, an employer isnt going to complain if you have a decent grade in it, and it shows you can work hard to achieve a decent grade.

I cant see why you are proud of failing anyways :S
