View Full Version : Patriots break NFL record

The New England Patriots became the first team in NFL history to go 16-0 in the regular season. They are only the second team to go a regular season undefeated, after the Miami Dolphins achieved the feat in 1972 (when a regular season was 14 games long). Tom Brady and Randy Moss also broke records in the final game against the Giants by completing the most TD passes in a regular season (50) and catching the most TD passes in a season (23).
A brilliant achievement for any team, but it's the next games that matter. If you don't win in the play-offs then you don't win anything, despite the records. I'd rather see us win the SuperBowl than have an undefeated season and get nothing out of it.

I'm not sure. The last few games have all been close. Plus, the Colts were just about unstoppable a couple of years ago and they didn't get far in the play-offs. We'll see soon enough I suppose :).

Congrats to them, although all the hype they get combined with their bandwagon fans is so annoying.

I know, some people I talk to have suddenly become Pats fans ever since they won about 7 or 8 games and it's steadily got worse as the season's gone on. Just golry supporters . Anyways, it's 34 days until the Superbowl in Arizona, just hope we can make it one step further than last year :).

I've supported them since I knew about American football. I have one team that I support from each sport or league.

only reason people who are remotely interested in American football who live in the Uk - support the patriots is because they won one of the latest super bowls and have the word "england" in their name. ;)

Not for me - I've supported them since before they won any Superbowls. They're the first team I saw on TV, so that's how I got supporting them.
