when getting insured, put one of your parents as the main driver (whoever has the most ncb, w/o convictions) and you as a secondary driver.

The car, however must legally be owned under their name, it's worth it though.

I originally got quoted about £3000 for a golf, and with one of my parents on the policy I got it down to about £1200. I can now get insured on an E36 for £1600. ^_^

Yup. Named driver is the way to go if you've just passed. Somehow I got my insurance down to £800 that way!

Isn't it dearer though as like, your parent(s) will be paying insuranceon their own car then will have to pay further insurance on yours, on top of you paying your for your own name?lol

Or like is it all just one figure for you but with your parent as the main driver?

My Fiesta only costs me £1400 through Tesco Insurance, and I am the one who owns it. I would rather be the main driver, it teaches me a few things about car insurance and I get letters, so it's all good :D
