RM Smart Boards.

Does anyone have the new RM smart boards in there schools?

We have them in like every room now part from the loo's :P
They are well cool cause teachers let u play games as they are teachign with them and they can use sites which give u like tutorials on how to do things which is alot easier for them and us to understand it cause they are at the board guiding us through as they just touch the board for it to most on as before with the normal projetors they have to stand with there laptops and it was difficult to teach.

Also the drawing tools are wicked on them too. I love how none of the teachers can write with them rofl. And anyone have them with the orange projectors? ol

yeah we had loads of stuff like that our school coz thats what it was a specialist school in

they are much more convenient than chalkboards!

definately, you can read them from the back of the room too lol.

And ye we had them installed last year and its because were trying to win a bid to become a specialist ICT and Business school. But imo its pointless spending 100's of thousands on all this new technology when in 2 years a new school will be complete costing over 20m to build and everyone will be getting a laptop to do there work on and everything will be interactive.

(If your wondering what im going on about ^ all schools in the next 20 years are being given like 22m pounds to be rebuild / referbished if its a new school or a graded building, by school is the 2rd school in the UK to be rebuilt)

Most of our class room have them, even though the majority of teachers have no idea how to use them :P

Smart Boards have the life of like a term, then the teachers get bored, realise they have to actually teach you stuff and then are like. RIGHT PAGE 299

seriously theyre rubbish, i cant stand them and they break a lot. White boards dont break.

Your teachers are wierd cause my teachers teach from websites lol. They teach us from tutorials etc and also they dont break they easily.

Yeah we have a few orange ones in my school- But my History teacher is a bit of a lemon and threw the pens away because he thought the ink run out. But we've had them for like 3 years, and in my old school about 4 or 5, but not as good as they are now.

LOL ^^ You can use ur finger if u click on the colour pad at the bottom of the board though so its all ok :P

we got ours about 2 month ago.

A lot of teachers dont know how to use them :P and the orange things on the ruth are pretty lame :L they should atleast be a nice colour

most of our school classes got them a year or so ago, mainly maths, geography and languages. but some english etc. does too.
