Andy Reid has gone to Sunderland from Charlton for £4m and Defoe looks set to be joining Portsmouth. Fulham have signed Litmanen and Kallio while Derby have signed Alan Stubbs and Roy Carroll (on loan).

Yesterday Brighton sold Alex Revell which is bad tbh he was decent.

also Liverpool signed Mascherano (18.7m) and i heard that Pompey trying to get Defoe in last couple of hours

Ahh he was good for Brighton, but I like Southend so I'm glad they've signed him. :]

And yeah, a fee has been agreed for Defoe. Will be a good signing for Portsmouth imo.

I can see Benjani bagging a lot more goals than Defoe tbh.

and also the players advisors of mascherano have revealed it is happening.

I don't get all this ''X player is better than Y player' milarky really. Benjani will bag a lot of goals at City with Petrov flinging in them deadly crosses where as
Defoe wouldn't get on to that many balls because he's shorter. It also means we will probably player 4-4-2 with Benjani upfront with either Bojinov or Sturridge which would also give us a big-small combination not a little-little one. I mean don't get me wrong Defoe is good but Benny will be better at City.

Also, City have signed Felipe Caicedo, a 19 year old from Basel for 5.2 million.

Personally I'd prefer Benjani to Defoe.

Benjani paperwork being investigated, apparently they're not sure what time it was done so there could still be hope of him moving to City. Defoe IS a Portsmouth player now

Well we ended up signing Cleveland Taylor at last for an initial £50,000.

We rejected bids from two Championship clubs that could have risen to over a million. One from Preston was meant to be £750,000 plus Brett Ormerod :rolleyes:. I'd rather keep Garner any day.
