Bit of a random thread, Lol. I was going to post in the flight simulator forum but thats a game forum... so yeah

Post what aeroports you live close to :P

I live right by filton (EGTG for people who play fs lol) and i can look out my window and see the planes take of lol. TBH it gets annoying because they are usually planes that are just carrying letters for the royal mail.

East midlands, I'm only about 4 miles from it :P

Filton is an interesting airport as Airbus seem to own it, loads of 747 Haulage planes and test Airbus planes with the odd fighter jet. Is there still a Concorde parked in Filton?

Changi international airport, 30 mins drive from my house (Singapore is so tiny i'm on the other side of the island lol)

My mate lives right beside kallang airport, and my mum used to work right next to paya lebar airport.

20 minutes from Gold Coast Domestic Airport & about 40-50 minutes away from Brisbane Domestic / International..

Not that anyone here would know them.

Phoenix Sky Harbor is the nearest international one to me, it's still really close though.

There's William's Gateway - which is practically on the same street as me, only small planes take off from there, although i've seen MD-83s there on occasion, there's Luke Air Force Base, some of the planes taking off from there are pretty interesting to watch, they fly incredibly low over my house.

Heathrow, London is the closest one it takes 20 minutes to get there for me and Gatwick, London takes about 40 Minutes I also sometimes fly from London Luton Airport which takes about an hour and a half to get to.

i used to live in castle donnington, that was at the end of the runway. hahahha.

i lke like 12 miles from east mids, but used to live less than one. haha.

If we actually want to go on holiday, we avoid blackpool, go to manchester. They go everywhere we wanna go :)

Theres Sheffield city airport ltd , Thats a landing base/heliport (one of them where you can land your own airplane/helicopter and theres the robin hood airport which is in finningly (inbetween doncaster and sheffield) which used to be a raf base its called that because its situated near where the original robin hood was
