To work them out you have to follow a process.

For question 1:
E.g root 50 = root 25 x 2 = root 25 x root 2 = 5 x root 2 or 5 root 2

For question 2:
E.g root 6 over root 2 = root (6 over 2) = root 3

OR root 6 over root 2 = root 2 x root 3 over root 2 ----Cancel out fraction-----> root 3
