And to even keep him there that long, after a couple of seasons it'd probably be revised with higher wages if he continues to become one of the best, if not the best footballer in the world.

I know he's well worth, but why such an increase in price over such a long contract, he only just signed a new 1 last season til 2012 on 120k a week! Hardly something to grumble about. Plus I bet he's got a good goal bonus too.

Well I most certainly wouldn't say no, that's for sure.

I think footballers shouldnt get paid that much, they do bloody nothing at all.
They should get paid 60-70k a year at max.

they entertain england?

i can see where you're coming from but 60k is still alot of money

most of us would be lost without football so im not really bothered:P

Sad. He earns £295.13 an hour even though at the most ( 3 games in a week) he would only work 4 and a half hours.

I bet 99.9% of people in africa probobly dont make that there whole life.

Those wages are remarkably high even for a player of his talent.

It'll costs United 44Mil over that time period..

..but the money he'll bring in through merchendise, shirt sales, good league/european success & inward investments will cover that without a problem.

Didn't Utd profit around 230Million last year? If they keep that up and improve it over the next 10 years.. that 44mil will seem like nothing.

I don't follow soccer much but didn't this forum erupt with hate for him at the last World Cup and everyone wanted him traded off Man UTD or w/e team he plays for, why does everyone like him now lol.

Also pro athletes are ridiculously overpayed, but unfortunately they'll probably get payed more and more.

I still hate him.

But he's developed into quite a player.

He is an ace player, however NO ONE, deserves to be paid that much money...

Since then, he has actually got rid of his attitude/cheating ways and become a fantastic player to watch.
